Reggae Boy Tremaine Stewart dies suddenly

Reggae Boyz and Dunbeholden FC attacking player Tremaine Stewart has died.

Loop News understands that Stewart, affectionately known as 'Tan Tan', collapsed while playing football in Spanish Town, St Catherine on Sunday morning. He was rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Stewart transferred from Waterhouse FC to Dunbeholden at the end of the last National Premier League season.

Waterhouse FC President Donovan White expressed sadness at Stewart's passing.

"The Waterhouse football family offers condolences to the family of former player and national representative Tremaine Stewart who passed away earlier today. RIP Tan Tan," White stated in a text message.

Stewart has earned 12 caps with the Reggae Boyz, scoring twice.
