Hollywood Publicist Elvira Guzman is among the list of high powered global professionals from 20 countries to address the third annual CanEx Jamaica Conference in Montego Bay, Jamaica from September 27 to 29.
A former Public Relations and Branding Director for Steve Harvey, Guzman heads Elvie G PR is also a speaker, television show host and author of the book ‘Purpose: Awaken and Succeed.’ She will be sharing vital tips to the over 1500 expected attendees on ‘Building Your Brand: Mass Market & Niche Opportunities” as well as sharing her personal story of how Cannabis was instrumental in healing a health condition she suffered from.
Additionally, Guzman who has a deep love for Jamaica and has visited the island before sharing her success story on Profile with Ian Boyne, will be using her time on the island, though briefly to give back.
She has therefore reached out to local Non-Governmental Organisation ‘Eve for Life’ which caters to the needs of abused young women as well as those with HIV/AIDS or are teen mothers, by offering funding assistance with their education.
“I decided to do this to help but also to inspire young people as while I was in high school, I remember not applying to some colleges because the application fee was so expensive and right now with the economic challenges in Jamaica, I believe this is a great way to pay it forward” said Guzman who is a graduate of the University of Southern California (USC).
Guzman will also be giving away select copies of her inspirational book during her time.
CanEx is an annual business-to-business (B2B) event that brings together cannabis industry experts from the U.S., Canada, South and Central America, Europe and other regions.
